Splicing Techniques

Single Finger Splice
Gives a strong, flexible joint for use with small diameter pulleys, as well as knife edge rollers. Splice has the same thickness as the belt and is almost invisible through the cover for optic sorters.

Finger over Finger Splice
Used on 2-ply belts to provide a strong and flexible splice. Suitable for reverse bends. Splice has the same thickness as the belt and is almost invisible through the cover for optic sorters.

Triple Finger Splice
Used on 3-ply belts to provide a strong and flexible splice for small pulleys. Splice has the same thickness as the belt and is almost invisible through the cover for optic sorters.

Flexible Finger Lace Splice
A fabric reinforced non-metallic lace, which is vulcanized into the belt. Available in PVC, PU and Fabplast belt grades. It has uniform thickness in the splice area, and is suitable for Metal Detectors.

Staple Lace Splice
The staple securing mechanism ensures that the lace has a positive anchorage in the belt. Suitable for lightweight and heavier duty applications. Available in mild steel and stainless steel.

Longitudinal Finger Splice
Available in both 2- and 3-ply belts to achieve belt widths that are wider than standard. Splice is strong and flexible and has the same thickness as the belt.

Plastic Spiral Lace Splice
The lace is installed between the plies of the belt or with a finger splice. Ideal for Metal Detectors or where a mechanical lace can cause damage.

Finger over Finger Lapped Splice
For use on 2-ply belts to give a strong, flexible splice for small pulleys. Splice is the same thickness as the belt and is almost invisible through the cover on optic sorters.

Step Lap Joint Splice
Used on thicker carcass belts or when a cold bond must be done. Very strong splice, which is uniform to the thickness of the belt. Available in PVC, PU and Fabplast belt grades.

Gator / Clipper Hook Splice
A strong and flexible splice, which features a series of individual hooks that lay flat and smooth. Suitable for troughing applications. Available in mild steel and stainless steel.
